Address common concerns to reduce hesitation and provide clarity.
Yes. Most Southeast Asian countries require an official import permit, regardless of vaccination status.
Do I need an import permit even if my pet is fully vaccinated?
It depends on the destination and your pet’s origin. Proper documentation can help minimise or avoid quarantine.
Will my pet be quarantined on arrival?
Yes, pets can travel on the same flight as their owners, subject to the airline’s specific regulations and approval.
Can my pet fly on the same flight with me?
Common requirements include a microchip, vaccinations, a health certificate, an import permit, and airline approval.
What documents are required to relocate a pet to Southeast Asia?
Ideally, 3-6 months in advance to ensure compliance and avoid delays.
How early should I start preparing for pet relocation?
